My guests can't get enough of this dish, and I’ve already prepared it three times for various gatherings. You really need to enjoy olives to appreciate it! To save time, I swapped the fresh tomatoes and chiles for two cans of Rotel, which worked flawlessly. I also opted for pre-minced jarred garlic. Prepare yourself for endless 'olive' puns!
I tried this last week, substituting half a yellow onion and skipping the hot sauce, and the flavor was incredible—it’s like a hybrid of tapenade and salsa. I served it with Kashi sea salt pita chips, but my two young sons ended up finishing the whole batch! It definitely has a spicy bite from the aromatics and chiles, and we will certainly be preparing this again.
