As the eggs boil, fry the bacon in a deep skillet over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, flipping occasionally until crispy. Remove to a paper towel, let cool, and then dice.

Tasty! I used bacon bits to save time, and it didn't change the flavor. Just use a little less sugar than indicated. You can use white or red onions.
