D's Famous Salsa

This salsa with canned tomatoes is a Texas recipe I've developed and refined over many years. It's very fast and easy, and I usually have everything on hand. I often give it as gifts to my family back East.

Ingredients

*2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
*½ onion, finely diced
*¼ cup canned sliced green chiles, or to taste
*3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
*½ lime, juiced
*1 teaspoon minced garlic
*1 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1

Combine the onions, tomatoes, lime juice, green chiles, garlic, cilantro, and salt within a food processor or blender. Process on a low setting until the mixture reaches your preferred texture.
