Cheeseburger Sliders

These cheeseburger sliders are easy to make with a savory beef and onion mixture on Hawaiian dinner rolls with lots of shredded cheese. The sliders are brushed with a sweet mustard butter and baked until golden and gooey for a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients

  • *1 pound ground beef
  • *½ onion, chopped
  • *2 tablespoons ketchup
  • *3 teaspoons Dijon mustard, divided
  • *3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, divided
  • *½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • *salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • *1 (12 count) package Hawaiian bread rolls
  • *1 (8 ounce) package shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • *¼ cup butter
  • *1 tablespoon brown sugar

Directions

Step 1

Collect every ingredient needed. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 11x7-inch pan by applying a thin layer of grease.

Step 2

Set a big pan to medium-high heat. Brown the onion and ground beef, stirring until the meat breaks into small pieces, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Get rid of the excess fat.

Step 3

Mix in the ketchup, a pair of teaspoons of Dijon mustard, two teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, and the garlic powder. Add salt and pepper to suit your preferences.

Step 4

Slice the rolls through the center horizontally while keeping them attached to each other. Lay the bottom sections into your greased pan.

Step 5

Layer the beef mixture over the bases, add a layer of Monterey Jack cheese, and place the top sections of the rolls back on.

Step 6

In a bowl safe for the microwave, combine the brown sugar, butter, and the leftover amounts of Dijon and Worcestershire. Loosely cover it and heat for roughly a minute until the butter liquifies.

Step 7

Whisk the butter sauce together and drizzle it evenly across the tops of the rolls.

Step 8

Put them in the hot oven covered for 15 minutes. Take the cover off and keep baking until the cheese has liquified and the rolls are browned, roughly another 10 minutes.
