Best Cheese Dip

This cheese dip has all the best ingredients! I compiled it from various other recipes and it's my favorite by far. Serve as a dip at a party or with sour cream and jalapeños to make nachos.

Ingredients

  • *½ pound bulk spicy pork sausage
  • *½ pound ground beef
  • *1 onion, diced
  • *1 (2 pound) loaf processed cheese food (such as Velveeta), cubed
  • *1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers (such as Rotel)
  • *1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Directions

Step 1

Set a big frying pan on the stove over medium-high heat. Break the ground beef and sausage into the pan and toss in the onions. Sauté everything for around 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the meat is fully browned and cooked through. Remove any leftover fat, then move the cooked meat into your slow cooker.

Step 2

Arrange the processed cheese cubes over the top of the meat base.

Step 3

Puree the green chiles and diced tomatoes in a blender until the texture is uniform, then pour the mixture over the cheese along with the can of soup. Give it a thorough stir and put the lid on.

Step 4

Set the slow cooker to High and cook for about an hour and a half, giving it a stir every now and then until the cheese has fully liquified.
