Fry the bacon in a large, deep pan over medium-high heat for about 5 to 7 minutes until it is browned and crispy. Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels, and break into small pieces once it has cooled.
I found it quite bland. It really needs some additional seasonings like garlic and onion, and maybe less sour cream. There are definitely superior versions of spinach and artichoke dip on this website.
